• A recognized international; TESOL certificate – 120 hours of tuition
onsite, plus 6-8 hours of observed teaching practice.

Affordable
The Distance learning course is much more affordable than the onsite
course though the course content, evaluation and certification remains
the same.
Flexible
The TESOL Diploma Course gives you the option of studying at a time
most convenient for you. All materials and matter are either sent to you
or is accessible at the click of a mouse, so you do not have to be in
class at a given time nor leave school at a fixed time. You are the
master and the taught and you decide the most conducive time for your
self. However the course should be completed by four months from the
time you enroll.
Course Content
Each candidate will complete papers in the following component areas:
• Language Acquisition
o an 8-15pp paper showing current understanding of language acquisition,
including discussion of Chomsky and Pinker
o a report on a classroom-based research project looking at some aspect
of LA

Phonology, Morphology & Syntax
o an 8-15pp paper showing a broad understanding of these three part of
language research
o an in-depth look at one feature of language from the above

• Methodology
o an 8-15 pp paper covering the development of method over the last 30
years and the current state of things.
o a report on a classroom-based research project on some aspect of
teaching approach or technique.
The candidate must demonstrate understanding of how to conduct proper
classroom-based research as outlined in Donald Freeman’s Doing Teacher
Research, Heinle & Heinle/Newbury House.

How to get started
Once you have signed up you and paid your deposit amount you will
receive "Getting Started" which outlines the next steps.
Course Fees
The total Course fee is 1290 USD. Initially a deposit of 400 USD has to
be made and the balance amount can be paid after 2 weeks of enrollment.

Evaluation and certification
As you submit your papers, each paper is evaluated (6 papers in all) and
graded. All papers must be of "publishable quality" and one must
understand the requirements for classroom based research.
